daemonism
there is a little animal that sleeps inside my ribcage. you could call him many things: a familiar, a netjiri, a genius, a daemon. i call him kheremibi — “voice of my heart”.
daemonism is the framework that i find most useful in interacting with my little beast. patterned after the iconic phenomenon in philip pullman's his dark materials, it's practised by a community that has always floated around alterhumanity and whose orbit is getting tighter every day. i intend for this part of the site to be dedicated to my perspective on all that, with special focus on the odd, frayed edges of the daemon-concept where it gets a bit more spiritual and occult.
TODO:
- basic info — in the meantime, try the otherkin.wiki article?
- reading list and personal recommendations for doing formfinding research yourself
- daemonism and otherheartedness revisited
- conceptions of spiritual daemonism + historical daemon-like concepts
- other 'guy in your brain' archetypes to explore
at this point in my life i would consider us... settled enough. i consider the european sparrowhawk our overall form, drawing from both analytic and symbolic interpretations. in TDF's pullman system, i am incontrovertibly a dragon, which is pretty validating. independantly of this, though, khibi's preferred form to take is that of a hieracosphinx, specifically a cross between a bearded vulture and an african leopard.
TODO:
- why the forms fit
- when dragon is your literal species as well as your daemon form
- on sparrowhawk
- analytic vibe/study/analysis (will upgrade over time, hopefully)
- pullman sketch/portrait/mural (will upgrade over time, hopefully)
- the merit of behaviour in captivity as supplementary info
- what does khibi even actually do
